Ballet Plie

Dancer bend your knees sideways over your toes and move back to your original position. The movement is practiced in all positions of the feet and should be as smooth as possible. You should go down until your thighs are horizontal. Your heels must be kept on the ground as long as possible (demi pliƩ) and return again as soon as possible. In the 2nd and 4th open positions your heels remain down through-out.
